About the Blog
As the name of my blog suggests, “IN RANDOM VIEWS of a city-bred and a promdi,” I don’t confine my topic in one category but random topics - from the mundane, to the innocuous, to the very political. My blog can be from very light & entertaining one day to very serious & political the next. This is why I love blogging because there are no rules or limits - like working for a publishing company or newsletter telling you what to write and how long or short it must be. Promdi - stands for my being a G.I. (Genuine Ilocana) for I was raised and grew up in Ilocos Norte, my homeprovince. A probinsiyana like me would usually say, “I am prom di province”, thus the term promdi. City-bred connotes my current life - that is staying in Manila since I studied here for college. City-bred and promdi also stand for my being half-Manilenya and half-Ilocana, my Mom and Dad being from Valenzuela City and Ilocos Norte respectively.
